Minju is a painter based in Chicago and Seoul.

Her work explores psychological vulnerability and the unstable emotions that exist beneath everyday experience.

Recently, her paintings have focused on the desire for freedom and the anxiety that grows alongside it. The possibility of a larger, unknown world can feel hopeful, while also creating a sense that something is being missed in the present. She is interested in this contradiction between longing and uncertainty.

Through distorted familiar scenes, exaggerated color, and dreamlike spaces, Minju transforms everyday reality into images that reflect inner confusion. Her paintings move between reality and dream, allowing what is hidden internally to surface within the visible world.
